Glytone, a French dermatological company, has an entire line of acne and skin care products on the market. Some work fantastically well, and others not so much.
One of their acne treatments is the Glytone Acne Gel (10% Benzoyl Peroxide). So what about this product? Does it work as well as they claim it does?

What Is Glytone Acne Gel?
As it says right in the name, Glytone Acne Gel is a 10% benzoyl peroxide gel used to treat acne vulgaris on the face.
It is meant to be applied, as a part of your overall skin care regimen, 1 to 3 times per day.
10% benzoyl peroxide is the only active ingredient, and that’s a good thing. It’s really all this product needs in order to fight acne.
It comes in a 2 oz package, which is not large, but is still larger than some other benzoyl peroxides on the market.
How Does Glytone Acne Gel Treat Acne?
The benzoyl peroxide in the gel is what treats acne, by killing the bacteria known as propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) which is responsible for the formation of pimples.
While benzoyl peroxide is a fantastic acne fighting ingredient, the Glytone Acne Gel’s strength is also its weakness. Many over-the-counter acne treatments containing benzoyl peroxide contain 10% strength, however studies have shown that a 2.5% concentration is just as effective at treating acne, but with far less irritation to the skin. The reasons companies still use 10% is that since it is the maximum amount legally allowed it OTC products, it allows companies to market their product as “maximum strength”.

Most consumer reviews I’ve seen seem to be anywhere from neutral to positive. People seem generally pleased with the product, however I would attribute this to benzoyl peroxide being effective, rather than this particular product being a good benzoyl peroxide option.

I would not recommend this product.
While benzoyl peroxide is a fantastic acne treatment ingredient, there are far better and cheaper benzoyl peroxides available.
I would recommend the Acne.org Treatment, a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel. Not only does it come with the preferable 2.5% concentration of benzoyl peroxide, but for practically the same price you get a whopping 8 oz of product rather than the 2 oz you get with the Glytone Acne Gel.
